Optical spectra of an intracavity two-photon medium with sequeezed inputs

We consider an ensemble of three-level configuration atoms in an optical cavity, interacting through two-photon transitions with a cavity mode, driven by a broad-band squeezed input of finite amplitude. The atom-cavity system is coupled to reservoirs to describe the losses of the atoms and the cavity. Optical spectra in the transmitted and the reflected field are calculated and analysed in the good cavity limit, for the purely absorptive resonant case and the general case, respectively.     

Comparison of the elastic and inelastic scatterings between152Sm+12C and148 Nd+16O

Angular distributions of elastic and inelastic scattering have been measured for¹⁵²Sm+¹²C at 63.2 MeV and¹⁴⁸Nd+¹⁶O at 90.9 MeV. An evident interference pattern in the inelastic scattering has been observed for the first time in a strong Coulomb coupling system.We are indebted to Dr. S. The Katětov dimension of proximity spaces

An analogue of Kattov's theorem on the equality between the dimension of a Tychonov space and the analytic dimension of its ring of bounded real-valued continuous maps is established for proximity spaces and proximally continuous maps by an internal method of proof. A new kind of filter, called proximally prime filter, arises naturally as a tool in this theory.     

A global pinching theorem for compact surfaces inS 3 with constant mean curvature

LetM be a compact minimal surface inS ³. Y. J. Hsu^[5] proved that if S₂22, thenM is either the equatorial sphere or the Clifford torus, whereS is the square of the length of the second fundamental form ofM, ·₂ denotes theL ²-norm onM. In this paper, we generalize Hsu's result to any compact surfaces inS ³ with constant mean curvature.Supported by NSFH.
